Our Testimonies

Jonathan's Testimony

I was born and raised in León, Guanajuato, with a desire to know God, but I could never find the answers I sought. At 20, I moved to the United States, where I met my wife. She shared the Gospel with me and explained that salvation is a free gift through Jesus Christ. At first, I couldn’t understand how something so important could be freely given—I believed I had to earn my way to heaven.

But one day, God opened my eyes. I realized I was a sinner in need of a Saviour, and that Jesus had already paid the price for my sins. I called on the Lord and received Christ as my Saviour, and my life was forever changed.

As I grew in my faith, God gave me a burden to share the Gospel. We began by witnessing to family, friends, and our community. Today, as a missionary, I am committed to reaching others with the same life-changing message that transformed me. I praise the Lord for His grace and the gift of eternal life.

Brenda's testimony

I was raised Catholic in Detroit, Michigan, but I didn’t truly understand what it meant to be saved or to have a personal relationship with Jesus. When I was about ten years old, I stopped by a corner store near my home in Southwest Detroit. A man there handed me a gospel tract and shared the message of Jesus with me. For the first time, I understood my need for a Saviour, and that day I put my faith in Christ and asked Him to save me.

I thank God for that faithful soul winner who took the time to share the Gospel. His obedience planted a seed that grew throughout my life. Even through ups and downs, God never let go of me. His grace has shaped my walk and given me a burden to share the message of salvation with others.

Now, as a missionary, I carry that same desire to reach the lost—just as someone once reached me. I praise the Lord for His love, His mercy, and the privilege of serving Him by sharing the Gospel.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe the King James Version of the Bible is the preserved, inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God in the English language. We reject modern Bible versions and textual criticism that undermine biblical certainty. The Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (Psalm 12:6–7, Matthew 24:35, 2 Timothy 3:16).

THE GODHEAD

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit—equal in power, holiness, and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 John 5:7).

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and literal, visible second coming. Jesus Christ is the only Savior and the only mediator between God and men. (John 1:1, Isaiah 7:14, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, Acts 1:11)

SALVATION

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and not of works: sacraments, nor by religious effort, nor by stopping sinning, nor by doing good deeds, nor by water baptism, nor by observing the law or following the 10 commandments. Salvation is an instantaneous act of God based solely on faith in the finished work of Christ (death, burial, and resurrection). (John 3:15-16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Acts 16:30-31)

We believe in eternal security—once saved, always saved. (John 10:28,1 Corinthians 1:8, Ephesians 1:12-13, John 1:12)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer at salvation, indwells every believer permanently, seals the believer unto the day of redemption, and empowers the believer for Christian living and service.
We reject modern charismatic sign gifts as being normative for today. (John 16:8, Ephesians 1:13)

THE LOCAL CHURCH

We believe the local church is a visible, autonomous assembly of baptized believers, organized to carry out the Great Commission. Each local church is self-governing under Christ and free from outside ecclesiastical control. (Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 5:23)

BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER

We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion as a testimony of salvation, not as a means of salvation.
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial ordinance for believers, observing Christ’s death until He comes. (Acts 2:41, 1 Corinthians 11:24)

SOULWINNING & THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe every believer is commanded to personally evangelize, witnessing to the lost through preaching, teaching, tract distribution, and personal confrontational soulwinning.
The Great Commission is the primary mission of the local church. (Mark 16:15, Acts 5:42, Proverbs 11:30).

SEPARATION

We believe in biblical separation from doctrinal error, worldliness, compromise, and ecumenism. We seek to live holy lives, separated unto God and separated from practices that dishonor Christ. (2 Corinthians 6:17, Romans 12:1-2)

CHRISTIAN LIVING

We believe the Christian life should reflect holiness, modesty, moral purity, obedience to Scripture, and submission to biblical authority. We reject cultural compromise and worldly philosophies that contradict God’s Word. (John 14:6, Psalm 92:12-13, Ephesians 4:32, Romans 12:15,1 Corinthians 10:31, Galatians 5:22-26, Romans 12:1-2)

THE FAMILY

We believe God ordained the family, consisting of one man and one woman united in marriage, as the foundational institution of society. Children are a heritage from the Lord, and parents are responsible to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Genesis 1:27, Hebrews 13:4).

CIVIL GOVERNMENT

We believe civil government is ordained by God, but when laws contradict Scripture, we must obey God rather than men. We affirm religious liberty and oppose government intrusion into biblical convictions. (Matthew 22:21, Acts 5:29)

LAST THINGS

We believe in the premillennial, pre-tribulational return of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of all men, the eternal punishment of the lost in the lake of fire, and the eternal joy of the saved in Heaven. (Hebrews 9:27, Matthew 25:46)
